Greta Vilidaite - Peak District oil painter

Hello and welcome!

I am Greta, an oil painter, climber, walker and nature lover based in Sheffield. I paint both in my studio and out there in the elements, or "en plein air" as the French coined it.

My goal is always to immortalise a moment: a moving flock of sheep, changing seasons, great big clouds or the fleeting long shadows in a sunset. Nature is changeable, but oil paint is not.

If you share my love for art and nature, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and say hello, or just browse my latest work on the website. Thank you for your visit!

I believe that nature is central to our wellbeing and happiness. My paintings bring a piece of nature into your home.

Nothing like an original oil painting...

There is nothing quite like the gravitas and timeless beauty of oil paint. A painting does more than just depict a scene. It allows us to see through the eyes of another human being. Not only that, it can capture a feeling, an emotion, a mood, even in the most ordinary of subjects.
