Oil paintings from the Peak District and beyond

Hello and welcome!

I am Greta, a Lithuanian-British oil painter and nature lover based in Sheffield. I became a professional artist after leaving a career in Neuroscience.

I have fallen in love with the rugged beauty of the Peak District and my work aims to conveys the tender feelings of cosy nostalgia, wonder and appreciation for the English countryside. I also paint still life and figurative work that tells a story.

If you share my love for art and nature, I'd love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and say hello, or just browse my available work on the website. Thank you for your visit!

Nothing like an original oil painting...

There is nothing quite like the gravitas and timeless beauty of oil paint. A painting does more than just depict a scene. It allows us to see through the eyes of another human being. Not only that, it can capture a feeling, an emotion, a mood, even in the most ordinary of subjects.
