Bloomin’ Heather on the Moor

Painted en plein air (outdoors) on top of the stunning Stanage Edge. It was a breezy summer’s evening, much colder than I expected. But the beautiful turquoise reflection of the sky in the puddle and the pinks and purples of the heather had me mesmerised, and I couldn’t resist painting the scene. What a magical time in the Peak District when the heather blooms!

Available framed or unframed. If framed, comes in a white solid wood hand-built frame, size 34 x 40cm.
