Oil on deep edge cradled wood panel, framed in a solid wood white frame, size: 24x24cm, depth 5cm. Unframed size 20 x 20cm.

“Emerald Sunset” is painted on a bright blue deep edge cradled wood panel and focuses on the beautifully improbable colours of a sunset – lemon yellow, azure blue, and, of course, emerald green. This painting is from my “Neon” collection of paintings where a bright contrasting colour shows through gaps in the paint. The azure blue sides of the box wood panel are clearly visible, giving the gap between the painting and the frame a glowing neon effect.
