Plein Air Workshop – Hopton Gardens – July 11th

EARLY BIRD PRICE for bookings made before June 1st – £80 (this applies for those paying deposit only also).

After June 1st, the regular workshop price is £90.

Suitable for all levels of experience. Join us for a fabulous day of fun painting and learning amongst like-minded people.

Date – July 11th (Saturday)

Time – 10:00AM – 4PM, with a lunch break

Location – Hopton Hall, Hopton, Matlock DE4 4DF. Near Carsington Water and Wirksworth. A map with detailed directions will be provided nearer the time.

What’s included?

• All materials (except brushes)
• Full day’s tuition: a demonstration and individualised teaching, advice and feedback throughout the day
• Use of easels and palettes
• Small, friendly group of painters and a jolly good time!

Hopton Hall is a gorgeous stately home with beautiful grounds and a stunning rose garden. We will be painting either in the rose garden itself or in the grounds in front of the house, depending on weather and light. There is an incredible amount of subject matter and interest. There is a cafe and toilets on site. Please note that a basic level of fitness is required as you might need to carry your painting  gear (light aluminium easel, a canvas board and a small bag of art supplies) 10-15min each way to our chosen painting spot.

Hopton Hall opens up to the public every July for their Month of Art, which these workshops are part of. They also have a competition that all artists can enter and the Hopton Art in the Rose Gardens art fair, please find more information here:
